Lukas Partners public relations client UScellular continues its commitment to encourage purposeful use of technology by inviting people to take a break from their devices for Global Day of Unplugging on Friday, March 7.

The company will invest $150,000 to provide unplugged experiences for youth at Boys & Girls Clubs of America and encourages everyone to go to uscellular.com/unplugging to share their participation and help spread the word.

New research from a December 2024 survey commissioned by UScellular revealed the following:

-- 90% of parents say they monitor their children’s phone usage, up from 82% in 2023.

-- 76% of youth indicated their parents think that they are on their phone too much.

-- 63% of youth reported their parents have ignored them when they are on their phone, while only 41% of adults admitted to it.

-- 59% of youth feel they are on their phone too much, while 33% of adults said they could use time apart from their devices.

-- 35% of youth have been angry about parents using their phones when they are around them.

Lukas Partners encourages you to disconnect during Global Day of Unplugging.
